Good to know
Is Regimate really free?
Yes. Registering up to 50 personal items is free, and so is everything you need to get them back: tags, lost reports, finder messaging, Magic Search and ownership transfers. We charge businesses for Enterprise and the Finder API, and offer Premises Plus for people who monitor several properties.
Can a finder see who I am?
No. A finder sees your item's name, category, status and photos, plus any reward you choose to offer. They never see your name, username, email, phone number or address, and you never see their email address either.
Does the finder need the app?
No. Any phone camera can scan a Regimate QR label or tag. It opens a secure web page where the finder can message you straight away, without creating an account.
What happens if I report something stolen?
Your item's public page shows it as lost, along with any reward, and it appears in Magic Search, so anyone checking its serial number will see it. You can add a crime reference number and print a poster. If a business using the Finder API checks the serial, you'll be alerted.
Can someone register my stolen item before me?
Each serial number and IMEI can only be registered once across the whole registry, so register your things as soon as you get them. If you believe someone has registered your item, contact us and we'll investigate.
Where is my data stored?
Our database and file storage are hosted in the UK and EU and protected by UK GDPR. You can delete your account and data at any time from the app or the web. See our privacy policy for the full detail.
